Test Server is now Live

Please note: There is currently an issue with people who purchased the Premium Edition not having access to the Test Server, if this applies to you, hang tight!

If you purchased H1Z1, you should now be able to download the new Test Server. You will see it in your Steam library directly under H1Z1. We will be using this Test Server to have you help us QA our builds before we push them to Live. Think of it as Early Early Access.

With your help we should be able to push out much more stable builds. Keep an eye on Reddit and Twitter for when we push a new build to the Test Server and what is going onto it.

Participating in the Test Server is totally on a volunteer basis but the more people who do test a build, the better it will be. Thanks in advance for the people who want to participate.

Roadmap Alterations (13/04/2015)

Daybreak announced today that some features of the roadmap have been moved around again. To summarise the changes, Steam marketplace, Screen effects and H1Z1 virus have been pushed back a week. While Steam friends has been moved forward a week.

You'll notice that we had to move a few items around for this week and next week's patches. As before, these are just the Roadmap items, each patch will come with a slew of bug fixes/anti-cheat and other smaller additions that you are used to.

We will always try our hardest to get all of the items on the Roadmap in when we say we will. Some things need extra attention and love before putting them out. We would rather put out something in a more solid state instead of shoehorning it in because we had to make the date.

We understand the frustration but in the end it should make for a more stable game. Also, the addition of the Test Server will make for more stable builds across the board. We let you in a few days early on the test server to help us make sure the features we added didn't break everything. Making for a more smooth playing experience when we launch our patch to Live servers on our regularly scheduled 3AM patches.

Roadmap: April 16th

Roadmap: April 23rd

We made a few changes to the Roadmap this morning. We had to push the "grouping" feature and "cop car interior" to next week. It's almost ready but won't make it into this week's patch.

Aside from the items listed on the Roadmap we will have another list of bug fixes and changes that will release with the patch notes. We are currently on track for a Thursday morning (3:00am Pacific) patch and downtime.

Just wanted to make you aware of the Roadmap changes so you weren't caught off guard.

Server Wipe Coming 05/02/2015

Posted on 04/02/2015 at 11:43PM UTC
Tomorrow as part of our normal game update, we will be doing a complete server wipe. What does that mean for you? Think of it as a factory reset. We are going to be wiping the world clean of any player built structures, vehicle placement, everything. We are also going to be doing a full character wipe as well. Your characters will not exist on any servers, so you will have to create new ones.

What won’t be going away are any account locked items. These items are things like crates and crate keys. All the cosmetic skins you found inside the crate or won from Battle Royale will be safe and be locked to your account. The things that will not be safe are anything you have on your character or hidden in the world at the time of the wipe.

For people who purchased the Premium or upgraded to the Premium Edition will be topped off up to 3 Airdrop Tickets. If you already have 3 or more Airdrop Tickets you won’t be receiving any additional ones. This won’t happen at the exact time of the wipe but will be granted to your account within a few business days afterward.

Full server wipes are a part of Early Access and this won’t be the last one. They help make the game better in substantial ways. We appreciate your support in H1Z1 and the game has already grown a huge amount because of the collaboration between us.

You will receive the full list of other patch notes as we get closer to announcing when this downtime will exactly be tomorrow.
